Mission: The mission of the Fuel Fund of Maryland, Inc. is to supplement the resources of individuals and families experiencing hardship with their home energy needs. The mission is accomplished through fund-raising, advocacy in legislative and regulatory arenas, coordination with local agencies and serving those who come to us for assistance.

Description of Programs and Services: 1) Assistance with home heating and utility bills, sharing the cost with the disadvantaged family; 2) Advocacy for systemic solutions to the energy and general welfare needs of poor families; 3) Referrals for appropriate follow-up services within our administering agencies; 4) Referrals to appropriate state and federally-funded programs; 5) Energy conservation education to assist families in controlling energy use; 6) Emergency assistance for individuals and families in crisis.
