Application Information
2004 Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program

Would you like a chance to hone your skills, work more closely with other service providers, and carve out some time to consider management issues that keep getting pushed aside by a relentless work load?

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program is a series of live-in sessions that blend hands-on skills, practical information, inspirational speakers, and the chance to explore nonprofit issues with peers who quickly become a support network of colleagues and friends.  It could be the management enhancement program for you.

“The best thing about the program is the opportunity to learn from people who have been in the business a long time.”

-- Talib Horne (East Harbor Community Development Corporation – Weinberg Fellow, 2002)

Your Board President and other key Board leaders are invited to join you for selected sessions as well.  These side-by-side seminars are designed to provide you with opportunities to review key concepts, explore current issues affecting not-for-profits, and develop a supportive climate for implementing learnings and ideas back on the job.

“During my 25 years in the non-profit arena, I have participated in many training and recognition programs for non-profit executives. Each program has had its strengths and has benefited me as a professional. What has been unique about my experience with the Weinberg Fellows Program is the inclusion of my lay leaders throughout the training process. Having my board chair, vice-chair and treasurer participate in targeted training sessions has created a stronger bond for them to my organization, a stronger commitment to their roles within the organization, and a better understanding of the complexities of non-profit management. This is one program that truly will benefit me, my board, and my organization as a whole for some time to come.”
