Weinberg Foundation Celebrates Dedication of Permanent Homeless Shelter

$1.8 million grant will support 24-hour, year-round emergency shelter serving 275 homeless men an women

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation today joined in the dedication of Baltimore’s new, permanent homeless shelter.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Housing and Resource Center (The Center) at 620 Fallsway in Baltimore will provide temporary housing, meals, and showers in addition to a range of services designed to facilitate the rapid transition into self-support and permanent housing.

The Weinberg Foundation has committed a $1.8 million capital grant to this project.  The building will also serve as the administrative headquarters for the City’s Office of Homeless Programs and will be Silver LEED certified.
