Thanks to newly upgraded digital infrastructure, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) has helped connect more older adults with benefits programs that assist them with covering basic needs such as health care, food, housing, and utilities. The organization’s newly improved online tools, BenefitsCheckUp and the Age Well Planner, now work more effectively and efficiently to assign case managers and provide step-by-step guidance on how older adults can access critical programs and financial services, including Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and more.
