Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new community center located in the affordable housing community Chestnut Commons. The Cypress Hills East New York Community Center serves as a program hub for CHLDC, providing career and education services for families within Chestnut Commons, as well as the surrounding community.
The Youth Grantmakers initiative, launched by grantee Baltimore's Promise, aims to establish a group of youth to help distribute public and private resources to better serve young people, enabling them to take the lead in addressing issues that directly affect them. Youth ages 16–24 from Baltimore City designed this effort, which equips young people with skills to inform their grantee selections, including conducting due diligence.
The Foundation currently has nine open positions to fill across the communications, investment, real estate, program, and operations teams. To learn more about each of these roles, including how to apply, click here.
Grants span our five focus areas—Housing, Health, Jobs, Education, and Community Services—and serve a range of people, including older adults, women at risk and their children, people with disabilities, and veterans, as well as the Jewish community.
