The Weinberg Foundation has transferred ownership of nearly 250 acres on the western coast of Oʻahu to MAʻO Organic Farms — its first-ever land grant in Hawaiʻi. A Native Hawaiian nonprofit, MAʻO operates a 281-acre farm in the rural community of Waiʻanae and provides programs to enable youth to connect with ʻāina (land), participate in a flourishing agricultural business, and prepare for postsecondary education and careers. 
 
These acres in Mākaha, which will nearly double the nonprofit’s footprint, will put currently vacant lands into productive use for agriculture and housing, support greater expansion of MAʻO's successful educational programs, and further invest in the health, well-being, and future of local young people.

In 2018, the Weinberg Foundation and Foundation for Jewish Camp set out to make Jewish camps accessible for youth with disabilities through a multiyear partnership called the Yashar Initiative. In total, Yashar supported 46 day and overnight camps across the country, serving youth with intellectual, developmental, physical, and sensory disabilities. 

A recent evaluation of the initiative reinforced the magnitude of its success, which is far-reaching and ongoing.

A new partnership to address homelessness in Baltimore will grow the city’s supply of affordable housing with services to help people remain stable. The Foundation will collaborate with Baltimore City and local nonprofit housing developers to support the production of at least 85 units of permanent supportive housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness.
