Link to virtual Biennial Community Gathering celebration including announcement of leadership changes in Hawai‘i and Baltimore

Last month, the Weinberg Foundation celebrated its Biennial Community Gathering virtually. In addition to speaker and video highlights, this year’s live online program marked the announcement of several leadership changes, including the retirement of Corbett A. K. Kalama, Executive Vice President – Hawaiʻi Office.

Supporting community resilience through a second emergency COVID response

In August and September, the COVID-19 Delta variant disproportionally impacted Hawaiʻi’s rural and Native Hawaiian communities. These communities also hold the key to innovative, sustainable solutions for food security, as well as health and wellness. The Weinberg Foundation was grateful to provide three grants to support emergency response, which helped secure government funding and paved the way for longer-term solutions.

Explore the Foundation’s new interactive online grants database and digital map

The Weinberg Foundation has launched a new, interactive two-part website feature! The online grants database, which features selected grants of $50,000 or more approved since 2018 can be found here. This new database allows you to search by organization name or keyword, as well as filter by focus area, priority community, year, grant type, and more.
