Hawai‘i state library grant paves way for telehealth partnership

In the April Hawai‘i e-news, we shared how a $500,000 capital grant to Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, provided the 20 percent match necessary for the Hawai‘i State Library System to access federal funds to upgrade IT and internet capacity in libraries throughout rural and low-income communities. That commitment has provided the building blocks for the Hawai‘i State Department of Health to invest $3.7 million into those same libraries, this time, with the goal of increasing telehealth access.
