Highlights from the Weinberg Foundation’s work in Israel and the U.S. Jewish community

A new resource provides an overview of the Foundation’s grantmaking focused on serving the Jewish community in Israel and the United States.

From 2021 through 2023, the Foundation provided nearly $150 million in grants to support the Jewish community in both countries. In Israel, its grantmaking focuses on improving the lives of older adults; preventing and detecting intimate partner violence; connecting people with jobs; and supporting efforts to build and strengthen leadership and collaboration across sectors and communities.

Since the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, Weinberg has allocated an additional $5 million to address emergency and basic needs; help expand nonprofit capacity to provide direct services to more individuals and communities; and meet evolving needs over time.

In the United States, the Foundation prioritizes addressing Jewish poverty, combating antisemitism, and strengthening the Jewish nonprofit sector, as well as several signature initiatives across these three areas.

Learn more about the Foundation’s key strategies and partners in each of these areas and explore our grants serving the Jewish community over this period.
