Grantee NTEN opens applications to help Jewish nonprofits across the United States improve IT systems

Since the beginning of the year, NTEN (Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network) has served more than 40 Jewish nonprofits through its Nonprofit Tech Readiness cohorts, which are working to strengthen nonprofits’ knowledge of best practices in the areas of technology planning, budgeting, and decision making, while also supporting each participant in advancing a technology project specific to their organization.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, technology was changing the way that every nonprofit pursued its mission and, for many, the pandemic has forced an acceleration of those changes. Jewish nonprofits are seeing increased community needs and new challenges in how programs and services can operate. As a result of this initiative, some participants have gone on to achieve their Nonprofit Tech Professional Certificate, and many are finalizing technology projects, including a web project for The Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies and a comprehensive practice management and electronic health record system for Jewish Family Services of Greater Dallas.

Interested nonprofits have until September 9 to apply for the fall cohort. Learn more about the process.

The Weinberg Foundation provided a $5.7 million grant to support this project.
