More than $22 million in recent new grants announced

The Weinberg Foundation recently approved more than 47 grants totaling $22 million supporting the areas of Housing, Health, Jobs, Education, and Community Services. This does not include COVID-19 emergency grants, which are updated regularly on our website.

Housing

Stable housing provides a foundation for individuals, children, and families to lead healthy and productive lives. Without housing, people are unable to focus on education, employment, health care, and meeting other basic needs.

Health Care for the Homeless
Baltimore, MD
$2,000,000 capital grant to support the construction of Sojourner Place at Preston, an affordable housing development, including permanent supportive housing for individuals exiting homelessness. https://www.hchmd.org/

Health

Good health is essential to help people move and remain out of poverty. Poor physical or mental health can prevent or complicate the pursuit of education, employment, and other opportunities for economic mobility.

Community Services

The Foundation recognizes that certain service providers operate multiple programs that meet a range of needs and therefore incorporate many of the Foundation’s focus areas.
