The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation today welcomed community, civic, and business leaders to its Annual Community Gathering at Beth El Congregation in Pikesville, Maryland. Nearly 1,000 people attended this year’s event.

The multi-media program celebrated the Foundation’s mission, partnerships, and accomplishments of the past year. Jennie Chin Hansen, CEO, American Geriatrics Society was the keynote speaker on the topic of “Living with Dignity: Community and Capacity”.

During the past year, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation paid more than $106 million in grants to nonprofits serving low-income and vulnerable individuals and families. Every year, as much as 40 percent of all Weinberg Foundation funding remains within Maryland. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation administers grants through six primary program areas, Basic Human Needs and Health; Disabilities; Education (US and Israel); General Community Support; Older Adults; and Workforce Development. The Maryland Small Grants Program (MSGP) administers smaller, streamlined grants for all program areas.
