The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation is pleased to share two important leadership updates to its Board of Directors.

Maria Cancian, a nationally recognized public policy scholar and professor at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, has been appointed to the board. Her work has focused on economic security, family well-being, and the role of public systems in expanding opportunity.

In addition, Nimrod Goor has been named the Foundation’s next board chair. Goor, a founding partner at Helios Energy Investments, has served on the board since 2019 and will become the Foundation’s first Israeli chair — underscoring Weinberg’s deep and ongoing commitment to its work in Israel.

Goor will succeed Paula Pretlow, who has served as chair since 2023 and will continue as a trustee. During her tenure, the Foundation strengthened its response to major crises while maintaining a clear long-term strategic focus.
